w115 240d Oil Change Question

It's about time for me to do my 1976 w115 240d's first oil change (since my ownership) and i have 2 very quick questions.

1) what is the best oil i can use? (brand/weight)
2) what is the best oil filter kit i can use and where can i buy it?

I was looking around and found this, is this what i should use?

http://i.walmartimages.com/i/p/00/07/19/24/44/0007192444819_500X500.jpg

Also, how many quarts does it take?

thanks!

That oil will probably be fine, gonna need 6-7 quarts I think. As for filter, try to find a Wix or Mann, or anything other than Fram in my opinion. Be prepared though, it's a pain in the buttocks the first time on these cars

In my w123 I have Rotella T6 5w40 right now, in my w115 I put in some Castrol but I'm probably going to start using Rotella or Delo from now on

Remember in this model, there is a two piece oil filter and a lot of other do dads....pita to do specially if your motor mounts are collapsed.....wear an old shirt because oil will run down your arm.....its also wise to change the oil in the injection pump at the same time and the oil bath filter.....any 15w-40 diesel rated oil will work..

15W40 is fine year-round in Miami. 5W40 is more for those of us who get winter.
