Rack damper bolt NLA?

I have been trying to find a new rack damper bolt for my champagne 300SD and every place I see online is sold out. I can't even find it for sale on Pelican Parts. Does anyone know if this part has gone NLA? If anyone has a source with it in stock, please let me know.

From time to time, Bosch parts go NLA for these cars... then reappear six months or a year later.

With the price increased by 40 to 100 percent.

The first time I bought one of these was around 2000. They were $24 then. They have been NLA once or twice since then.

Anyway, I checked for you and they are NLA at the moment in Canada as well. (Sometimes stuff is still available up here when it's out of stock in the US, and vice versa.)

I spoke to the dealer parts manager here. He says that part number you are using has been "retired" from the dealer parts system. Not a good sign.

I tried using a keywords search for "pin" under the injection pump section of the website of the Atlanta dealer that sells parts online.

The number they show is: 0000742674. The new? price is: $137. (See my remarks above.) In the diagram below that part number is 257.

Don't know, of course, if that means it is actually available.

I guess I will call the local dealer and see if they can get the part for me. If the dealer has it for $137, I'm not seeing a whole lot better online after shipping. I can probably save a little with my MBCA membership.

I called the dealer and they have the part. The retail price was $147 and the price after my MBCA discount brought it down to $87.

The MSRP from the Mercedes Dealer is $103.

Yeah, that's what the invoice said when I got it. I don't know why the girl on the phone said $147. Either way, I will be picking it up at the dealer on Monday. Hopefully it will get rid of the gyrating my car likes to do at idle; superbly annoying. It is almost as bad as the pig squeal I get from the brakes when in reverse. I'm betting whoever worked on the brakes last didn't grease the back of the pads.

Thread that I started regarding the shaking:

http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/344531-new-engine-mount-now-engine-rocking-bad-way.html

I'm pretty sure I covered everything but the rack damper bolt. Someone should get a machine shop to make these $100 bolts!
