need help in Boone nc
 

Student daughter needs help starting 1990 sdl in Boone. Demoralized with diesel in cold weather. I am too far away. In Delaware. Triple a will just want to tow. Glow plugs and battery are fine. Just too cold and too frustrated. Need someone like me to be there. Email me if you are close and willing. Thanks

I have a 1pm in Elkin NC, boone is about an hour fifteen from that. Let me know if anyone is closer.

can she plug in the block heater? NAPA has the cords if she doesn't have one.

what are the problems with starting? how do you know the glow plugs are good, and getting power?

a 75W incandesent light in a "shop" light reflector sitting on the exhaust manifold for an hour will make the car start like summer...

If you are original owner or done work (bought parts) at dealership in last two years, roadside assistance will come out and try to start. Give them a call to check out....
