Junk Yard Alert near Detroit . 240d 1983 4-speed

Hello fellows,

I was at a junkyard near Detroit ( Taylor, M.I ) and i found a 240d (1983 i think ) with the full engine and a 4 speed transmission intact. I was thinking of maybe getting the whole transmission swap items from it , if some member want it . Also had the complete engine but the side of the car said no start . No idea how good the engine is or the trans is but all the parts are still there .

If any one around here wants to get it , let me know. I am heading there tomorrow to get some parts from a Jetta and could try to get the trans and associated parts from the Merc.

You should save that 4speed for sure. If I was closer I'd want it for my eventual conversion on my CD.
