Unhappy need some help. top motor mount bolt

this is for the 190d 2.5td driver side.

how do you remove the dang thing. it is so tight. i can get a ratchet on it but man it's tight. i almost dislocated an elbow.

is it done from the top or from the side with the wheel off.

should i lift up the motor first? would that help?

I need a tylenol for my elbows. owww..

not Tylenol... you need, Advil/Motrin... MAN a banged/strained elbow aches!!!

for the top bolt, I use a 600LBft impact wrench, and Impact sockets and universals and extensions....
they are SUPREMELY tight.

If you lack air power get a longer piece of pipe. Leverage is your friend. Don't let the socket twist sideways on the nut or you'll take the flats off - not a good thing. Sometimes I need to block the socket/extension/whatever so that I can shove w/o having the socket twist sideways.

Is it an Allen (socket) head? If so be doubly careful not to twist it. The socket heads hold the wrench really well but if they round out they're a double PITA.

I'm not familiar with the 201-602 but can you remove the arm and deal with it off the car?

well there is no room for a breaker bar.

today i might try taking the windshield washer reservoir off to see if can get to it that way.

worst case scenario is the intake manifold has to come off. yikes.

what about an air ratchet? i have never used one before. does it work like an impact? can it remove really really tight bolts?

No... air ratchet only solves fatigue not speed or strength

It's normal on any car to have to remove stuff to get to what you need to work on. Pulling the washer bottle is an EASY way to clear a path! Sometimes it's the PS pump or suspension components or.......

Don't hesitate to make room as needed.
