Where does this hose connect too on the other end, I think it goes to the what I think is a waste gate on the turbo? The bottom picture is where I connected it too in the center if the photo, is this correct?
Please let me know its function if not a waste gate.
It's right in front of the turbo on the connected end.
And I guess it connects right below the turbo
I own a 1985 300TD 5 cyl.

Never mind I found it in my shop manual. And it is connected correctly.
Number 9 connects to number 8.

It is the wastegate hose. It looks correct to me.

In case you didnt notice, you have several hoses in these pics that need to be replaced. Alot easier to do that at home than by the side of the road.
