New Glow Plugs and a New Problem

OK fellas, Heres what I have. Transplanted motor and Tranny ot of a '77 240D into a '80 240D. Replaved nld loops with Pencil style (Bosch 83005) stuck new got rid of all the old style continuous loop. And used wires that were on the '80 ie each plug having it own wire and they all plug into a relay on the drivers side under the hood. Old look GP's had a resistors that I have but will not be using as I believe this to go with the old GP setup. ot everything back together and went to start car all I get is the GP dash light blinking. In another post I asked about a ground wire attached to the motor, this ground (see pic), was attached to the first plug using the old system so I bypassed it thinking it would not be needed. Was told in another post that I would fry my new plugs or my relay if I grounded. What do yall think will get the car going. I am hoping this is a easy fix, I need my ride.

Yes leave that wire off or you will have 12V going straight to ground and not through your glow plugs. I know that, but I have never done the conversion so I cannot comment on any issues you are having. Maybe more pictures?

Fix it Thanks

Sometimes I think I need to write something down or type it out wait three to four hours and BAM my light comes on. There was no fuse in the relay. Well I feel like a goof on one hand and blessed on the other. New Glow plugs cranked the car after one cycle.
