No REVS from motor

85 300dt. Starts idles just fine but when I step on the accelerator NOTHING!! The engine will not rev. I can see the linkage moving , that seems to be fine. I was messing with that screw on top of the IP which I thought adjusted the fuel mixture......went for a ride after and all was FINE....went to drive it today and now I have this problem. Any suggestions?

Do you see the shaft that goes into the hidden side of the IP move? Is it possible a rod on the hidden side of the IP fell off? That's happened to me a couple of times in a 603 with plastic ended linkage members.

Yeah, have a helper push on the go pedal while you inspect all the linkage under hood. You don't have to have the engine running when you do this.
