Trunk seal question
I have ordered a new trunk seal for my 300d. The only place this car has any rust is one spot inside the lip of the trunk and it is just surface rust. I know the seal leaks so I ordered one before the rains begin here for the summer. My question is how do you remove the plastic trim cap section across the back of the trunk? I don't see any fasteners and don't know if this is bolted down or held with clips. Don't want to force the issue and break something. Anyone done this?

That is the one I am asking about. I can see how the lip inside the trunk is hooked, I can also see where the rivets are moulded into the plastic and it's very tight. It also has one small crack so I guess I may as well replace it.
Thanks! Jim |
