What Is This Part? 1981 240D

I noticed a linkage hanging down near the back of the fuel injector rack.

I noticed on one end the linkage there is a plastic piece which had broken off. I have attached two pictures of the linkage and I'm looking for the name of the plastic part that appears to connect up to the back of the fuel injector rack..

Thanks!

do you have an automatic transmission? it looks like the linkage that attaches to the VCV . that plastic piece is easily broken.
