300TD Door Check Strap Mount

The mount for the check strap for the drivers side front door is missing. Thinking it had fallen inside my body guy looked and couldn't find it. Any ideas where to get a replacement?

We had a discussion about the check straps a while back:

THis post in particular:

Seems like it does have a part number (A1236300320) . Dealer should be able to get one if they still make them. Installing it may be a trick!

It yours came off, there should be 4 small holes around the slots for the hinge forks. Those would be the spot welds that held it in. If it fell inside, then you should be able to get it with a magnet, by taking off the inside trim. There are some access slots there.

Probably was removed because when it breaks where it is mounted In the front part of the door it makes a racket when you open and close the door. Just replaced one and it was not to bad once the inside door panel was removed. Unfortunatly when you remove the interior liner the plastic hangers break off, but replacing the part isn't t that bad and it sounds so much better, was making a huge racket.
