door locks completed.
now onto sunroof.

so i when i click the the switch i hear the motor..
but sunroof does not open.
does anyone have a pic of the 1982 300d sunrooof motor
i was oging to attempt to try and open it manually
searched for tutorials couldnt find any

Sounds like your cables bad....your going to have to remove the drivers trunk liner, completely disassemble the motor....then you can pull on the cable to open the room....then remove the sunroof headliner, then the clip holding the cable...then pull it out through the sunroof opening....clean and re-grease the motor....its a really fun job!

But first put a 15mm socket on this nut and try to manually open the roof.

got it ito work
i messed with the motor clutch a bit...loosened it then turned it a few times
by hand...pow...this benz has sat for a while. so i think it was just gunked up...so a verry successful weekend

one question tho..i want to ordere the mercedes paste.
where can i get that...an what needs needs removed to apply it

power locks and sunroof all fixed in one weekend

next up poopy fan clutch and squeaky water pump
almost go all the interstitials done

just in time for spring cruising

then its rebuilding the ac system

either a user here used to sell the paste or it was a hidden item on pelican parts. maybe they'll chime in.
