They all use the same database with different pricing.

There are 5 - 10 others on the Internet using the exact same database.

This way, it is a lot cheaper than a vendor develops his/her own database. A vendor just buys from one place that develops the database and fill in their own price.

I heard that it costs only around $3k to buy the database and 10 - 50 times more to develop one.

West Michigan Diesel Parts

West Michigan Diesel-ers--

I notice that Auto Sports over in Zeeland, MI, has the indentical MB parts store to FastLane:

http://www.autosportsunlimited.com/

I'm not clear what the relationship is. Are they both using a 3rd party supplier? Just the same computer program? Would shipping be significantly less from Auto Sports than from Fast Lane?

Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks,

Hey Ron,
Thanks for the info, I knew those guys out there had an Import salvage yard, but did not know they offered the new OEM parts too.

Bo, I didn't check everything, but those I did check (oil filters, shifter boot, fuel pre-filter) appear to be identical in price.

The vendor does have the flexibility to change the price. I will send you an e-mail of another vendor so you can see the pric difference.
