They all use the same database with different pricing.
There are 5 - 10 others on the Internet using the exact same database. This way, it is a lot cheaper than a vendor develops his/her own database. A vendor just buys from one place that develops the database and fill in their own price. I heard that it costs only around $3k to buy the database and 10 - 50 times more to develop one. |

West Michigan Diesel Parts
West Michigan Diesel-ers--
I notice that Auto Sports over in Zeeland, MI, has the indentical MB parts store to FastLane: http://www.autosportsunlimited.com/ I'm not clear what the relationship is. Are they both using a 3rd party supplier? Just the same computer program? Would shipping be significantly less from Auto Sports than from Fast Lane? Anyone have experience with this? Thanks, |

Hey Ron,
Thanks for the info, I knew those guys out there had an Import salvage yard, but did not know they offered the new OEM parts too. |

The vendor does have the flexibility to change the price. I will send you an e-mail of another vendor so you can see the pric difference.
