Inside The Box: Early Glow Plug Relay - 001 545 35 32

Evening Everyone!

A customer sent in a early glow plug relay. I believe this relay was used with the loop style glow plugs? I might be remembering the names wrong. These were the ones used in the 70s. I believe they were wired in series?

Neat to see the insides. Thanks for sharing.

These were used up to model year 1979 at least on the W123 chassis. I have one in my car. They were indeed wired in series, with the "loop" style plugs.

Is this one not working? Are you thinking of getting in to the trade of fixing these too? They are quite expensive new and there are no "refurbs" currently available.
