Rotary mid rise lift?

I posting here because diesels are usually heavier than their gasoline counterparts. I am really tempted to get one of these that I found somewhat cheap near my house. The max weigh capacity is 6K lbs so I'd still be 1K lbs under the max. I like the idea of it being portable so I can "roll" it in and out of my garage and on my driveway when I need to work on the car.
It would be a much, MUCH older version of THIS LIFT[/I][/I]
Does anyone have any experience using one of these in MB cars? Good/bad feedback?

Thanks
