Is there a nicer sounding (Chime) W126 Seat Belt / Headlight Buzzer
Re: '86 SDL or Gen II w126
Can the original "buzzer" be changed out for a calmer sounding chime. I generally get in the car and turn the key to start the glow plug process, and while waiting, plug in the phone, etc, then put the seat belt on once the motor is warming up & I'm ready to roll. For years I've thought it would be nice to have a calmer seat belt / head lamp warning buzzer sound. I know....put the belt on first....however I'd sure love to swap that old annoying buzzer out. Any thoughts...sources? Thanks

I don't know of any drop-in replacement. You will most likely have to source a dinger and do some wiring, etc. Member James Dean is really good with electrical stuff; he might have some suggestions. I think it comes down to two pins to run the noise maker in the box, so maybe you could find something quieter and mount it out of the box.
