W201 1989 190D Oil Level Sender Leak, not o-ring? 602
I replaced my oil level sender o-rings about a year ago, but now have a leak there again.
I had replaced both the o-rings:0159973948 and the 0179975848. Does this mean that I should try the o-rings again, or that I should replace the sender? Bruce 190D 76k miles |

It could be leaking from the center of the oil level sensor. It is prone to hair line crack. You can replace it. Alternately is to clean it very very well and fill the void with RTV. It should work as there is no pressure.

Have ordered a new one, but will take a look for cracks in the old one! Thanks.
