W123 AC compressor noise
So the AC compressor in the 83 300D we have just recently developed an interesting noise. I'd describe it as a high pressure flowing noise. Like a gas going through a metal pipe..I'll try to upload the sound. But I replaced the compressor with a brand new behr I think 7 months ago and completely flushed the system, changed every o ring, and pulled a vacuum for an hour with it sitting sealed for an hour with no leaks. Did I get a dud? I used the proper PAG oil as well.

interesting. my TXV would make a hissing noise when i was low on freon. but that was hardly noticeable in the cabin with the blower on low. It must be quite loud to hear over the engine
 but i'm tossing my R4 setup and serpentine condenser in a week or so. those R4's like to have an attitude with me. The whole front clutch plate fell off my dad's 300d last year
