it would go to the egr port on the 3/2 valve assembly on top of the valve cover. leave it disconnected. you dont need it.

Sleepstar, I don't recall that my '79 coupe (since sold) had an egr valve...was this added in the '80 model year?

i should clarify, if you need to pass an inspection, then reattach it. if you need to leave it attached you can place a BB in the hose to block the vacuum. chances are the 3/2 valves arent working anyway and theres no vacuum going down that line.

Blah illegal....who cares...

If your so worried, go get the manifolds from a pre 1979 an switch them...

If there is highly illegal then I should be in prison by now, since I have de federalized my euro and there was never an egr installed...

And oh my, I will probably by hung because I removed the aftermarket seat belt buzzer

I'm in North Carolina so they only do a safety inspection on older diesels. I was wondering if this disconnected would affect my shifting in the automatic transmission. My 3/2 valve was completely disconnected when I bought the car.

it shouldnt affect it unless it was just removed without the port on the 3/2 valve being plugged. but if everything has been disconnected properly it shouldnt affect anything.
