Going down the coast to visit friends in Monterey and decided to swing
by Charlie's place with my wife, Katherine, for a visit and see his stash of parts.

Charlies lives on a nice little spread with rolling hills & deer on the property.
He and his wife, Adele, were great hosts and showed us around the place.
He's got two tarp covered car ports FILLED with MB stuff. He's also got stuff in a
couple of outbuildings. Bags full of switches, ect. You name it, I lost count.
Probably 5 engines who knows how many trannys. Interior, exterior parts.
At least half a dozen doors. This guy is the Pick N Pull King, I tell ya.
He could open a shop somwhere.

Anyways, Charlie's a great guy and it was a treat to visit him and his wife
and see all his treasures.

Well I would loved to drive down and meet Charlie and Wife. I have had Charlie send me some very nice parts - if he doesn't have them he will go out and get them. And they send me a family Christmas Card! Wonderful people.

I've met Charlie at my local PNP. What a great guy. I didn't realize who it was at first, until we started pulling parts off a 300D and he started talking about being on this forum. It was a pleasure to meet him. I had NO idea he had amassed so many parts. Good job, Charlie!

Charlie's a real nice fella. I bought 2 front bumper end rubber supports from him and he painted them with POR-15 before sending them to me! They were beautiful. Sent me a Christmas card too with pic of him and his wife.

I be down for a meet up! Instead of going on the Northeast trip, I am going to Chico in about June to clear my mind. I have family which includes a cousin we are trying to get to know each other. I do better meeting in groups, I think.

pfft... no contest... Charlie will stomp me. I'm to anal... I remove and label every screw, nut and bolt... I store all the parts from the entire chassis... ugh... it takes me MONTHS to get a car ready for scrapping...
