All 4 tires outer edges worn heavily
Hi All. Just visited my father and saw that all 4 of the 1990 300D 2.5T's new (last year) tires were worn bald on the outer edges. This would normally be attributed to alignment, correct? Would it be safe to assume the control arms are probably bad? I guess I'll jack it up and look for visibly worn components as well. I did notice that the shocks/struts are gone (push down and watch it keep pogo-ing...).
Shock/Strut Question: can we use Bilstein HDs while using stock springs? And how long should the stock springs last? If desiring a moderate lowering can you simply change shims or are H&Rs a good choice? Thanks.
