LOL, now that is funny. I am glad some one thinks I am cool. I am happy to show off my car and talk vehicle stuff. We will be heading thru that way as we will go on the I10 to the cutoff then on the I8, but we could let you know when we are driving thru and we could meet if you like. You would be able to meet the whole crew, husband and big dog too. =)

I am good with either day 17th or the 31st. Just need to put in for leave. So need to set that date and then I can schedule days off.

On a side note - non Mercedes talk to follow:
My 2001 Jeep wrangler is up and running. Need to replace a hose clamp with a couple of good German hose clamps (use an original clamp with new hoses and yep it leaked then without thinking I took it off and got a quick hot bath). Ok, now healing from a burn - But did I say the Jeep is running. A long time coming, 3 years but she is back.

Ja, once I posted it I realized I might being too ornery... But man did you make it so much better! Sadly the first song that came to mind was Buddy Holly's great song called "Peggy Sue"...

I might be able to make a Sunday meet. If I get enough time to finish my red car I could bring it. Need to finish (read start) my #22 head swap and the 5spd trans conversion. If anything I could bring the workhorse w124.

I'm going to be working to get my car up over the summer. There's a week after school ends and before summerschool where I think I might be able to finish it.

How about a Sonoma coast/ wine country drive. The last one around here passed me by literally. My car was not running at the time. We could stop over in Forestville where my studio is. There is a large parking lot and a picnic table.
Plus Lots of car shows are held in Armstrong Woods redwood state park. That would be a great place to have lunch. It is on the way out to the coast along the Russian river. It is very close to Bodega Bay.

C.Doner, Sounds like you got the perfect place to host a meet. Any preference between the 17th or 31st?

How about the 31st, that is our Wedding Anniversary. What better way to celebrate than with a bunch of MB Gear Heads, Enthusiasts and Smoke belching Diesels.

Either weekend is fine for me. Im around. I am thinking of a route now. Ill have to do some google mapping to see how long it takes to get places. Going down the 1 would be very nice. People could take Sir Francis Drake back over to the 101 or keep on through to Stinson and Muir beach area, but that may be quite the haul from Bodega Bay. Sir francis Drake Rd is a nice drive that connects hwy101/ San Rafael to the Tomales Bay. Also the town of Bolinas is not far from there. There is a Mercedes diesel in every other driveway of that town it seems. It would be a sweet ride.

After restoring my car for 5 years, I've been waiting for another GTG! So either weekend is good for me assuming its set in stone sooner rather than later.

It appears that 31 May is the date. I will be putting in for leave and I am very excited to go, show, chat and share.

Great! The 31st means I can make it.
I've got a friend in Santa Rosa who might want to come and then I could
spend the night at his place.

So, how about some drag races with Nik's Mom?
My experience is, though, that Moms usually win.....
