Wiper Speed: No difference between high and low

I have noticed on my 92 300D monowiper that there's does not appear to be any difference between high speed and low speed. I suspect the relay. Is there anything else that could account for this behavior?

Definitely electrical.

I would check the combination switch.

Hmmm - same problem on my '95 E300. I had always suspected that the motor was tired, never thought to consider a switch or relay...

Swapped in a known good relay (from my 91) and problem persists. So it's not the relay.

What are other possible causes?

I thought about that but wondered how that would work. Isn't a switch position simply completing a circuit?

I vote for tired motor and/or lack of lubrication in the wiper tranny.
