Refurbish Monovalve Solenoid / Broken Solenoid

Hi!

I just changed the Monovalve on my w126 1982 300sd Turbo Diesel, of course it was completely torn and gummed up. But I also realized that the Solenoid is not working anymore! I get 12V on the pins, so the temperature dial still seems to work. I also just applied 12V to the valve pins when I had it out, no movement. I guess the coil is broken? Any ideas on how to repair/troubleshoot this? I get resistance, about 3MOhm and -2.5MOhm if I switch the pins. So there definitely is something wrong. Anyone ever measured the resistance of their solenoid coil?

I get heat all the time, so the valve is not closing. Will clamp off the hoses but was hoping for a proper repair of the solenoid.

Thanks !!
