Ignition switch removal

I already replaced the keyed portion of my ignition switch but now I need to replace the electric part. To do this it looks like I need to remove the entire assembly from the steering shaft. How do I do this? I unbolted the clamp but can't pull the assembly out even though it feels loose.

There is a release pin on the shaft that attaches to the steering column.
