engine idle noise with video link

this is the noise that persists after replacing the nozzles and pop testing them to within 40 psi of each other. As the video description says, during a diesel purge all the knocking noise goes away.

any suggestions?

You need to set your video to public.

I am an OM617 guy, so not the local expert on your motor, but it sounds normal to me. Nice, actually. New nozzles are always noisy for a while.

sounds normal

I have SAME exact engine..and mine sounds EXACTLY like that...diesels make all kinds of funny noise, it comes and goes, depending on many factors. I say again it sounds perfectly normal...just drive it, and try not to figure out every little noise...it will make you nuts...lol

Very good advice

Have you tried any fuel additives? I know this is a touchy subject, but I can usually tell a noise improvement from adding some 2-cycle oil or whatever. The problem is it seems like you need a fair amount of volume to notice anything, which gets costly.
