1982 240D A/C wheel question.

My 1982 240D has wheel to control the temperature and not a knob that I see on most. Does anyone have a clue part number this would be? The installed part is stamped 123 820 19 10. This part does not come up any where. The previous owner used RTV to hold it in place, so not convinced this is the correct P/N. Any help would be appreciated.

It seems the PO replaced the switch with one from a pre 82 car. The part number you provided is for up to 1982. From model year 1982 it's 126 820 05 10.

You are really not going to like the price though, it's $256 MSRP. Yikes!

Good luck.

Is the AC temperature-wheel not working, or will it just not stay put in the dash?
If it's not working, it can be temporarily bypassed. As for the price, try a Pick-N-Pull.

Happy Motoring, Mark
