coolant leak from where?

95 e300d. recently changed o-rings in oil cooler. topped up with fresh mixed g-03. Coolant level has been fine for a month. No leaks, until this morning when coolant level light came on. I found two separate puddles of coolant on the floor. I looked all under the car, at all of the obvious spots and cannot find any sign of the coolant leak. Pretty much new expansion tank and cap, newish water pump and housing. I suspect a leaking radiator, but can't find any sign of wetness or drips. WTH?

Go get a pressure tester from the parts store, fill radiator, pressurize to slightly more than specs on the cap. See if that finds the problem.

damn

More coolant on the floor this morning. I found it pooled on the upper fender below the brake booster. I can barely fit my hand in there. I hope this is something easy like a hose clamp and not a heater core issue. Coolant can't leak up so I'm hoping it is one of the rubber fittings. Can the heater core be accessed from the engine compartment or does it involve dash removal? I have other things to do if I have to go in there: evaporator, blower motor, dash pods.

Remove your windshield washer tank you will find several water lines and the cabin recirculating pump I'm guessing its a fairly straight forward fix.

For future reference, the blower motor is accessed from the engine side. It lives under the cabin filter. A water leak can also happen as your water pump wears its seals, but that is the wrong side of the engine to be as you described.

I think the recirc pump is near the battery. All looks dry in that area.

Here's the part that failed

The 95 left me on the side of the road today for the first time in 11 years (except when I ran it out of fuel). Here is the part that failed. It was failing slowly, and today if failed completely. I limped home thanks to a stranger with a ****tier car than me who gave me a jug of water. I had steam pouring out of the hoses on I95 HOV lanes in Northern Virginia at peak rush hour. Long story short, I cut that broken piece out, and rigged a brass hose barb so I could get home. Earlier this week coolant was leaking from this plastic tee and running down the aluminum tubing of the heater core from the drivers side and dropping on the garage floor on the passenger side. I'm going to modify a copper water pipe tee and simplify things. Looks like I may have bought some time so I don't have to get into the dash or the heater core.

Get underneath the car.

When was the last time that car had it's heater core changed out?

Part that failed and my temp fix to get me mobile. What kind of fitting is the oem version? I don't understand how it seals so tightly with so much heat from the coolant.
