P0181 Engine Code Question
Finally had CEL checked and found that p0181 was causing the light. It says its the fuel temp sensor. Does anyone have any prior experience with this code? Not see what route to take.
|
Never seen that code before. Its a range/performance glitch, guessing that a sensor monitoring the fuel temp doesn't like what it see's. I don't believe the fuel thermo has any electrical connections, don't have one to look at anymore.

The fuel temp sensor is part of the shut off valve on the side of the IP.
You can get to it by removing the washer fluid bottle and reaching in from the side, as opposed to taking the intake manifold off. It is held on with two screws, T20 IIRC. Be sure to renew the o-rings on the fuel lines (total of 3 connections) and the valve to IP body connection on the back side of the valve. |
