Carry spare filters!

Got a bad tank of fuel. This filter is on the line between my fuel tank and the surge tank under the hood, where the stock MBZ fuel system pulls fuel from. This filter and the stock MBZ primary and secondary filters were changed ~100 miles ago when I had my injectors rebuilt. Look at it now, too clogged to even drain diesel out of. The filter element was compressed inward under pressure from the MBZ lift pump and the stock in-tank EFI pump.

Replaced them all again, and am expecting to do so at least one more time before this tank is burned through.

I carry one extra Spin-on Filter. The Plastic one can actually be cleaned out if needed but with the resulting mess.

I also have a Water Seperator that I never have installed.

Not you but I love it when I read the threads where People new to Diesels say I just changed the Filter and can't believe it can get plugged fast. They are used to Gasoline Engine Fuel Filters.

I am going to save this thread so I can post it.
