1981 300d radiator w/filler neck?

I have searched everywhere and this is not available as far as I can tell?

This is the non turbo radiator without an expansion tank, but a filler neck with a radiator cap.

My radiator is leaking at the bottom, and tiny pin holes on the metal top as well. I do not want to use a stop leak product and getting a used radiator does not seem like a good option either.

So far no cooling issues or overheating with the ac pumping ice cold air in the Florida heat. Just minor leaking on the top and small drip on the bottom of the radiator. I have not had a chance to look and see in more detail the drip at the bottom, but tire shop noticed as well when they fixed my flat the other day.

Thanks

I had to track one of these down a few years back for my 1980 300td, and it wasn't widely available and it wasn't cheap at the time.

I did a quick look and one place claims to have it available, I cannot give a URL for the parts supplier here but if you search under the P/N 1235014401 on www.everythingbenz.com it will come up. Whether the claim that they have it is true... ah.

If you call PeachParts/Pelican, they may be able to track one down for you. Scarce or oddball stuff doesn't always show up on the website.

Also just want to point out that others have simply converted their system to the later radiator with the overflow bottle. There are at least a couple of turbo models being parted out through the Used Parts for Sale and Wanted subforum, so you might score the whole setup at once.

the N/A radiator went no longer available two years ago. you have a few options. have one custom made, get a good used one, or alternatively if you don't use your air conditioning, use a 240D radiator which is still available.
