New 85 300SD at least to me
I bought a 300SD last year and haven't started it since September of 2013. I was working on other projects and a couple of 240D's. Ok, the car starts and runs great. Turbo still seems to kick out coal when you put the pedal to the floor. Idle is smooth.
I never tested the sun roof when I bought the car, but tried it today and it opens fine and appears to have a new front seal. My question is, is the 126 sun roof suppose to operate like that of the 123 where upon opening the front rubber wind deflector is suppose to flip up as the roof opens ? Greg |

Yes, I seem to remember there are a couple springs that wear out and cause it to not pop up on its own.

Didn't they change the sunroof at some point in the W126 run to the tilting roof like the one in the 124?

Only for 2nd gen cars. 85 should have the standard gen 1 sunroof.
