87 300TD Wagon - Yard Alert - Chicago Area

Auto Parts City in Park City (Near Waukegan) has an 87 TD White/Blue wagon in the yard. The blue interior in this wagon is in great shape. For example, the driver's seat shows no wear or damage. Dash is cracked though. If I had an 87 wagon with a tired blue interior I'd be all over it.

Some parts picked off the 603 (Injectors and VCV). The IP is still there.

I've never warmed to the white/blue color combination. Nevertheless, I'd take it in a pinch. Were you able to discern the head number?

Sorry - I didn't catch the head number. I forgot to look for one of the parts I'd like to get so my plan is to head back next weekend. I'll check it out and report then.

According to grease pencil note on the window, the wagon came from the local MB Dealer. I'm guessing it was well maintained. Odometer showed around 270K.

Open the overflow tank - see if it looks like it had oil in it. A #14 head isn't necessarily a bad thing. Sad to see one of these wagons in a salvage yard.
