Clock Quit and Fuse is Fine

About a week and a half ago the clock quit about two in the morning as I was driving home from the E.R. after being released. The reason I point this out is my mental capacity was not 100 percent. But, could have sworn I heard a pop like a fuse. Kept looking at the clock on the way home and didn't change. I checked all the fuses and noting is blown. Plus, everything works, especially on fuse 2: radio, antenna, et all. Any ideas of what caused the clock to quit and how to fix it?

Thank y'all in advance!

The clock has one or two electrolytic capacitors (usually 100 uf) that can fail, disabling the clock. The clock must be disassembled and the capacitor(s) replaced.

The Radio Shack PN is 272-1028. I haven't installed so don't know if mine will work. They were cheap - a couple of dollars total. Professor Google will direct you to some nice write ups.

Thank you all for the help!

Well, at least it is something somewhat simple; not like other things where one has to spend hours diagnosing.
