I saw some older posts about people having difficulty finding pistons for OM617.952 turbo engines. I'm currently rebuilding one and need to find a single used piston. Anyone out there have one to sell?

Single used Pistons show up on eBay. However, there are pitfalls to buying one unseen.

You need to get another Piston in the same Group number to match the ones you have.

Buying an unseen Piston could result in getting one that is also worn out.

I have a feeling a lot of Sellers of used parts on eBay have no idea how to measure a Piston to tell if it is good, no where to look up the Specs or have the Tools to do the Job.

If one exists locally you would be best off getting a Piston from a local Member that you can measure yourself.

Thanks to everyone for all the help. I just bought one from a member on the site. Hopefully it works out. I haven't had time to get it to the guy who is putting in my sleeves yet.
