I just got my order from PP and among other things i got the priming pump. Can someone please tell me where it gets attached.
Sorry about the short bus question, and thanks for help.

It screws onto the top of the "lift pump" which is on the lower side of the big "injection pump", near the driver's side engine mount. I assume the new one is the smaller black one. As I recall, you can slip a deep socket over it to get at the nut. If the current one is the white plastic original style, it is hard to get a wrench on its nut. I did so tediously, working from underneath and top. If you plan to toss it, do like many and smash the plastic part up so you can get at the nut from the top to unscrew it.

The old shiny Aluminum bodied Hand Primer is sometimes difficultto remove. Most of the time if you use an open end wrench on it the Metal simply mushes and bends.

2 common methods are to get a Vice Grips on it or use a Plumbers Basin Wrench around anyplace on the Body. But, it is better if you grip the bottom 1/2 of the Body.

Once the old one is removed carfully pick out the old thin Copper Crush Washer.

Removing the Fittings that are on each side for more room is optional.

Pics of 2 types of Basin Wrenches. There is all kinds of variations of them. You or one of your Neighbors might have one.

^ Good info, I used vise grips to remove the original one and a stubby 17mm (I think) to install the black one.
