is the fan clutch bolt reverse thread?

I am finally replacing the fan clutch and i have seen is some threads that these allen bolts are reverse thread.

can anyone tell me if it is on a 92 300d 2.5?

no. Clockwise tightens. Counter-clockwise loosens.

thanks i thought i'd never get that thing off. def. going to get one of those tools. i was able to use a 10mm wrench on one of the pulley bolts to break it loose.

The only reverse bolt I know of is the center bolt on the ELECTRIC fans.
