93 300D, yeah! got every single thing working in the white ***** except the cell phone and I have no control over that. usually the old cars I drive is some sort of compromise ie one of the windows wont work, have to crawl in thru the passenger side, only one speaker works etc but I got everything working with very little HillBilly engineering. Now it's worth painting and fixing the aesthetics

I'm almost there in the electrical accessory department:
87: passenger head restraint, motor makes noise but head restraint does not move. Mechanism gears probably stripped. Steering wheel moves in and out under its own power, but memory position sensor in the motor is not working because the column does not move when changing memory positions. Alarm not working. From what I understand that's a good thing. 98: the three vent wheel "oreo" illumination bulbs are out in the dash. The passenger side IR receiver for the window convenience open/close feature does not work. Drivers side head restraint adjustment switch does not work sometimes. Head restraint goes up and down fine with memory recall. It too has the factory cell phone, it has been disabled and replaced with a Parrot Bluetooth. I kept the handset in the console to get laughs out of passengers. But the console LCD/speed dial module has been rebuilt to house the Parrot display and the dash speakers rewired to carry the cell call audio. And I got the junk out of the trunk.

I like the fact that they use a lot of gold plated connectors, connectors do a lot of old cars in.
