Not again!

Yeah, I think I have a problem. I can't resist buying old cheap diesel mercedes. PLEASE HELP.

Well it isn't offical yet, but I think I can get this car for a couple hundred bucks. She's a 84 300D EURO non-turbo with an auto Silver blue outside with Dark blue cloth interior. Has a little rust, the front was crunched, but the damage looks worse than it actually is.

Whadda ya think?

My favourite part is all the bird dookie, but the dash cracks add some character too!

The tailpipe in the picture looks a little small...

Well it's definitely a project, but a car like this probably is hard to pass up, especially if it's dirt cheap.

Good luck!

sell the parts

It is definately going to require a large sum of dollars to repair. If you can get it as cheap as you say, part it out! Sell the parts on this web site. I'm sure you could make enough to get a better Mercedes.

Part's car

John,

I think that thebern has the hot set-up on parting it out.

I am beginning, John, to think you need to go to diesel annonymous.

Parts? Well, I really don't have anywhere to store a parts car, so that is pretty much out of the question.

I'll go back today or tommorow, take it for a short drive around the parking lot and make my descision.

Don't feel bad about buying old cheap diesel Mercedes. I've confirmed that it is an addiction, and like any other it needs to be fed!!

I find them all the time. I know where two are that would be excellent parts cars, just need to find the space to put them until they are gone.

Your pics are awesome, and the car is in overall very good shape. Undercarriage rust is very minimal, hardly anything to worry about. The most expensive part is going to replace the Euro headlights. There were some euro lenses on ebay if the housings are still good on the car. Find a used hood with a grille and you are golden.

Good luck!
