Warning lights staying on, battery light not coming on

So I've had this issue for a while. My warning lights are staying on until I either hit the gas pedal, or release the parking brake. And the battery/alternator warning light doesn't even come on. Assuming there's some kind of connection, but if anyone has pearls of wisdom, I welcome any and all opinions

Also, by extension, my car had no signs of life this morning until I turned the ignition on and off several times. If anyone knows what caused this, that would also be most helpful!

Fully expect the culprit to be the alternator regulator ,worn brushes but main cause is one of them does not make proper contact 90% of the time.
I had similar with a w124 which had random warning lights not coming on and even no glow lamp and just turning the engine over a touch on the starter would see everything ok.
If I remember correctly it was the brush nearest the actual regulator body (the first one to see daylight when regulator is removed from alternator) .
One tell tale is slightly flickering interior lights at night.
