Has anyone seen this 85 wagon in PA?

Calling out for any thoughts on this ebay car:
Or has anyone seen it in person?

Interesting that he doesn't show pictures of any of the rust he mentions..... If its that rusty in the floors I wouldn't buy it without first crawling around it to make really sure the rest of the body is sound.

Yeah definitely don't buy it without getting a good look at the rust. If the rust is really so bad that it won't pass PA inspection it's probably quite serious. Haven't known PA inspections to be "rigorous" to say the least, especially on a 29yr old diesel.

you must not have lived here
Pa insp is fairly thorough and ANY rust intrusion thru to the passenger compartment is an automatic fail. this car has more than a little rust but is not that bad. ebay only allows 12 photos so i ran out of room to post up any pics of the rust and figured any serious buyer would either ask for some or come and see the car in person

I lived in PA, Hogweed speaks the truth.
Pa inspections a PIA.
Any hole in car makes it fail, so you get people doing stuff like pop riveting metal to 30-year-old pick up trucks just to pass PA inspection.
Hogweed sent me some pics. I just wondered if anyone saw the car.

I didn't mean to suggest the car wasn't nice or worth buying. If I see that a car failed inspection for rust my mind jumps to compromised frame etc. It doesn't sound like that's the case here.

Good catch by charmalu!

No I don't live in PA but I grew up in western NY just over the border. The inspections here for a car that old would be very lax.

I can see now how a hole rusted in the floor would constitute a fail however. Even though this isn't a big deal and could be easily fixed. Good luck with the sale

Yeah. The hole could be the size of a pencil eraser and it would fail.
When I asked why they said it could catch on something or a person and either the part would fly off or the person would get injured.

I have seen the car in person and it would make an excellent driver. Whoever gets it is going to have a very nice wagon.
