New to the forum
Hello everyone!
I bought a 1981 300TD with roughly around 230k miles a few months ago Ol Klaus is from southern CA and darn near rot free, something you do not see around here in the Chicago burbs. I had always wanted a MB since I was a little kid, finally had my chance and took it. So far it's been an experience (in a good way) and have learned a lot. Before I bought one, I would spend hours on here and another forum making sure this is the right buy for me. Other than some rigged up stuff and lack of maintenance in the last year, the wagon was in really good shape. Up until now it has been easy to tackle issues, figure them out and have something work or come back to life. I started a small thread on another forum but my computer crashed, lost all my contacts and connections I was gaining on there. Hopefully I can restart here. Cheers, Jonathan |

<waves hand> there are no other forums you need concern yourself with, move along |

the only appropriate winter car is a late 70s gold Pontiac firebird esprit. Of course, I am certain you already knew this. :D

Welcome to the forum! You'll become very attached to your wagon if you are anything like other w123 (which is the MB designation of your chassis; regardless if it is a wagon, coupe or sedan) wagon owners. It looks great from your pic. Is it turbo charged or NA? 1981 saw the change over from NA to turbocharged in the wagons so it could be either one- the coupes and sedans did this in '82. Please ask questions and post pics! I've had three wagons and still own an '84.

Wow that sure is a nice wagon wish my 85 300 SD looked that good I am only a stones throw from you across the lake in N.W. In. Yes you brought a bit of class to the Windy. I think you will find this site to be very helpful welcome.

I think the owners manual for that car is like 17 pages long :laugh3: I love the simplicity of the older cars.
