More P0243 problems
I have a 1999 E300D with the following issues:
I'm getting a P0243 turbowaste gate fault which I can clear and it remains cleared until I restart the car. Concurrently I'm getting an low oil level warning, which it is not and a lamp defective warning which again is false. Could these problems have a common cause such as a faulty ground somewhere? Thank you for any leads. I don't want to start replacing parts if it's something simple |

Try swapping the two transducers and see if that helps of if the code moves to the EGR. The transducer controlling the wastegate is located below the air filter box on the firewall. The EGR transducer is on the opposite side next to the GP relay and ABS.
Also check that both vents are open; follow the hoses on the transducers and you'll find them.
