ENgine wash today
2 Attachment(s)
Gave my 240D an engine wash today. First time I have ever done that. I was a little worried, but all seemed to go well. Sprayed it first with Purple Power and pressure washed at the car wash. Put a plastic bag over the alternator and used a spray paint can top to plug the air intake. I figure that a clean engine will be easier to work on.
A couple of photos attached. If you notice anything amiss, please let me know. |
Clean engines are definitely happy engines. If you want to go even further with your detailing, take "No touch" tire cleaner and spray it on anything black let it sit and wipe off any excess. Will make that engine bay sparkle like no other.

Looks good. :) Clean engines are MUCH nicer to work on.

Looks like a couple hours very well spent. That is something I need to do again as the last time I did it was after a return line leak but not as detailed as that.
