606 intake pressure control valve repair

W210 OM606.912
Next issue, hopefully the last for a while is the solenoid of the intake pressure control valve is not working and causing a code. It is not affecting the performance of the car but it must be resolved. Can it be rebuilt?
Buying a new one is not reasonable. The thing has always been an annoyance and it would be best for me to remove the thing but I cannot have the "Check Engine" light punishing my wife.
The dealer says that there is not one in the country and it must come from Germany. Besides it is over 300 dollars and a bothersome piece of junk from the beginning.
Part number stamped in the part is 604 090 04 66 but that number is obsolete. The new number is 604 090 01 66.
The thing is stuck in the open position and will not move when the engine is running. Vacuum is being applied by the engine. When I apply vacuum to the solenoid it will not move and is hard to move by hand.
Thanks to all for your time and advice.

P0120

The code is P0120.
With no suggestions coming in, I'll try to locate one in a junkyard on Monday.

Wierd news

I've searched the junk yards and nothing.
Mercedes says that only 20 exist in Germany and no more will be made. $325 I do not want to spend on a device that does nothing but irritate.
Finally today I pulled the "Vacuum Box" and found this:

Problem solved!
Thanks for putting up with me.
