rear light question (1982 300TD)

What are people doing for rear lights on a 300TD (1982)? The new ones are $yikes. I pretty much need to replace all the plastic, including the reverse lights.

Besides new, a good used set of lights is about your only choice. Nice used ones are getting scarce, too, so prices on eBay are fairly high as well.

I use wallyworld fog lights for reverse lights. Glass, not plastic. LED even lowers the amps for the NSS

Wow, thank you all. I looked into the Aluminite casting and it looks pretty doable. I think I would do all the lenses clear and just put colored LEDs inside. I do know a local 300TD owner so I could use his lights to make a mold. Has anyone actually done this with a Benz light?
Another thought is 3D printing. I do have access to one, but I haven't looked for a 3D template yet. Does anyone have experience with 3D printed Mercedes lenses?
