Was having an issue with one of my rear windows, so I opened up the door and found that the metal bar under the glass had rusted away, and swelled to the point it was hitting the crash bar. I happen to have a perfect set of glass from the 85 sedan I parted out... but the glass is a little different, the sedan glass is a little shorter and has a slight curve on top where the TD it squared off.
BUT the metal bar is the same. So I was able to swap the bar, with a little help from a chunk of 4x4 to hammer the replacement bar back into place, Worked like a charm and window is 100% again
Turns out that window had been replaced at some point, there is a little broken glass in the door, which would account for the rust of the bar, but there is NO rust in the door...
