85 goes into shop sat morning, it's getting lower inner control arm bushings, front and rear both sides, (I replaced everything else in the front with lemforder not that long ago) all new Bosch Quietcast rotors, pads on all 4 wheels and the inner and outer front wheel bearings. (Drivers side humming and noisy on curves plus can hear drone at speed) Still have to do the rear frame mounts pass Axel etc, but will drop the rear sub-frame this summer after I have a couple other cars back on the road. Also have new linkage and shifter rubber, to solve a rattle it has plus a box of other goodies. Next order is the rear hatch seal, all 4 door seals and all 4 window seals. slow but sure.

That sounds like an unfortunate, expensive order.

Not unfortunate, 30 year old car and stuff wears out. Want to keep her in tip top shape since I drive this car and hour to work each way every day. Clock reads 280,000 now and still going strong

The one I got all the parts from? Man I wish I would have save the hydraulic rams for this one, They still seem to work but idk... need to get under there and follow the MS worksheet to troubleshoot the system, first place to stare is replacing all the rubber back there and the rear springs.

This morning she got all new Brakes/Rotors and Front wheel bearings on both sides... Made a huge difference. Still on for the inner control arm bushings Saturday. Local shop is also willing to let me come in on a Saturday to drop the rear sub frame and replace all the rubber bits etc in their off time. So will be gathering all the parts for that project soon.

Looks like you have a project on your hands and a couple weekends worth of work of fun tinkering. What happened to the 87 300D project? Is that still going on?

Steering box... what a pain. I'll be trying for the third time to install it this weekend. I can not get it centered.

Replaced both flex disks, center carrier bearing and trans mount yesterday. Also got the new rear hatch seal in.

Finally had time to replace the front door seals. hoping to have time to put in the new window switches etc tomorrow. My antenna just failed, Grinding when trying to go up and down... I believe they make a rebuild kit for it so going to order one if they do and repair that.

She's getting some attention today. The Alternator seems to have failed (11.8V) I've replaced the voltage regulator already. So I grabbed the alternator off my spare engine (the one with less than 10k on it) Also grabbed the good alternator bracket and adjusting bolt.

The oil cooler is leaking at the bottom, so I got it and the lines and am going to swap.

Also, I have noticed that the IP is leaking from the top. I took the one from the newer engine, plus the lines which all look a lot nicer. I don't have the tool to set pump to 15 while instilling so I'll have to find one or order a new one before I go ahead with it's installation. I've never dripped timed the current IP, but the one one I grabbed I did when I put it on the other engine, and its the pump that got me the best MPG I have ever seen from one of these cars, 32. There is a thread about it somewhere.

Figure installing the newer IP, go a head and to a valve adjust and I've always wanted to try 27 setting on the timing instead of the stock 24.

I still have not put on all the new parts I got, so many other projects. I may tackle the new window switches etc today...

Also noticed that I have a compressor on the other engine. One I had forgot about. It seems free and turns good. I think I'll try one more time to install it. If it doesn't work then I'll work on doing the A/c swap upgrade to the newer style pump. only been putting it off since I had 3-4 compressors laying around and was kind of hoping one of them worked...
