Source for Shell ATF 134

For any who use Shell ATF 134 in their 722.6.....I was pleasantly surprised that I could source a case of 12 for about $60 at the local Shell Distributor. Came to $74 including tax and shipping, or $6.17 a bottle. Pretty good price.

I've got Redline D4 in one 722.6 and Shell 134 in the other....may the best fluid win!

That's a great price! I had a leak and got desperate a couple years ago and paid $34 for a single quart of 134 at the local indy MB specialist.

Good to know. In the past every local distributor I have called tells me they cannot get ATF 134, I need to try again.
I have been holding off to see if there are any ill effects of those using Valvoline MaxLife.
I have three 722.6... that all need servicing.

West Coast source: Sawyer petroleum in Van Nuys CA.

Back in January, I paid $82.51 for a case of 12 out the door - after tax & recycling fees.

there are about 4 dealers in my town where I can buy it - all about 60~65 dollars a box of 12 qts.

whiskeydan, there are a lot of people running the 722.6 on various ATF with no problems, the ATFs range from maxlife, valvoline import vehicle, orielly import stuff, castrol import stuff, generic synthetic dex3 atf + additive pack injection (BG, lubegard etc) any brand ATF +4.

there are a lot of shops that use ATF +4 in these cars just because they see its standard in the chrysler application of this transmission. (I personally know a general shop owner who is doing this and reports no problems of come-backs at all) - its not the final frontier or the promised land answer.

just my experience
