Monovalve Question

Is there a right/wrong way to install the large cylinder that goes around the electromagnet? Thanks
Pat

In my 84-85 300D, I don't recall that it matters. The steel isn't magnetized.

Yes, there are two notches in the cylinder, the larger notch fits over the coil wires to provide a clearance gap.

Fixed!!!!!

After year and a half finally fixed highway heating issue. After new mono valve insert the problem apparently was the metal jacket that goes around the magnet. I turned it around so the large gap is in the front and "eureka" it works. Finally.
